That being said, here are some of the broad strokes of our Tax Manager position which will support the Strategic Industries – Tax & Transaction Services Service Line.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in the planning, management, and execution of tax compliance and advisory services for PYA’s corporate clients, with a focus on partnerships and S-Corps with multi-jurisdiction complexities
  • Plan, design, and execute tax projects and compliance initiatives across a variety of industries, working collaboratively with both PYA and client teams
  • Be a trusted advisor and planner regarding taxation and work proactively with clients one on one to build client relationships
  • Lead the activities of teams–including staff and senior accountants–with compiling & reviewing financial statements and preparing tax returns for small business owners

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax and accounting experience with a national public accounting and/or consulting firm
  • CPA or EA license required
  • Previous experience with business tax related to healthcare, non-profit, financial institutions, real estate and development, and manufacturing and wholesale distribution industries preferred
  • Client-oriented work ethic, committed to high-quality results
  • Creative problem solver with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills, critical thinking skills, and a passion for helping clients
