Team Members are responsible for preparing and serving up our delicious, all-natural, energizing smoothies as well as consulting and assisting customers in choosing the right vitamins and nutritional supplements to help them reach their health and fitness goals. Along with the General Manager, they provide guidance to Team Members during their assigned shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting the General Manager in the overall operations of the store in a leadership capacity.
- Ensuring superior guest experience, maximizing sales performance, and driving profitability while maintaining a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
- Will complete the store opening/ closing and following opening/ closing procedures
- Makes bank deposits
- Assist the General Manager with product ordering
- Brand loyalty: Communicate and execute positive brand impression to the overall Guest experience.
- Must ensure consistency and high-quality preparation of smoothies and Guest service.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of all areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
Essential Functions:
- Operates a blender and POS cashier system.
- Regularly moves boxes, weighing up to 55 lbs., throughout the store.
- Constantly positions self to bend, reach and scoop through assigned shifts.
- Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F.
- The employee must be able to tolerate exposure to food allergens.
- Microsoft Office knowledge required.
- Knowledgeable of general POS functionality.
- Excellent Communication Skills, ability to give and receive feedback.

Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will contribute to Smoothie King’s success by assisting the GM in leading his/her team to create and maintain an exceptional Guest Experience while upholding brand standards, as well as modeling and acting in accordance with Smoothie King’s mission and core values. The Assistant Store Manager is involved in all areas of store operations, which include:

Daily Operations
● Fosters a culture of exceptional guest experience
● Reviews store environment and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement, and adjusts accordingly.
● Drives implementation of company programs through action planning and inspires the team to meet operational standards. Promotes and maintains consistent accountability and adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring all operational changes are communicated and implemented.
● Develops and oversees partnerships with local community members and participates in local events to build brand awareness.
● Uses operational tools, such as Profit and Loss Statement, Business Review, Cash management, Log including banking policies and procedures, Labor Matrix and Inventory Management tools, to achieve Operational Excellence.

Qualifications
● Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to perform basic POS and computer functions

Physical Requirements
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit, stand and use his/her hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. This position may work outside of normal business hours to include evenings and weekends as needed. Minimums of 40 to 45 hours are required.
