POSITION TITLE: Project Coordinator 

REPORTS TO: Executive Director 

ORGANIZATION: True North 400 

LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA

General Summary: This is a position for True North 400 (formerly the North Fulton Community Improvement District (CID)), a commercial tax assessment district in the North Fulton market in Northern Atlanta. True North 400 leverages local dollars against outside funding sources in order to plan, design and/or construct infrastructure and services for area investors. Efforts may include road, streetscape, trail, and beautification projects, along with planning efforts to attract and/or facilitate additional public and private investments, including transit and other market needs. True North 400 works closely with government entities, such as the Georgia Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, Atlanta Regional Commission, the City of Alpharetta, the City of Roswell, the City of Milton, Fulton County, and other public and private local and state entities, to accomplish its endeavors. 


The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director in the day to day operations and project management of True North 400. This includes but is not limited to project and program management, planning efforts associated with True North 400 or its partners, current member outreach, expansion property research, meeting preparation, scheduling, and additional administrative duties as needed. 


The successful applicant will have knowledge and understanding of the nuances associated with Fulton County, the Cities of Alpharetta, Roswell and Milton, the Atlanta Regional Commission, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, and the Georgia Department of Transportation. Quickly gaining a practical working knowledge of existing conditions that will aid and/or impede True North 400’s projects and other efforts and formulating solutions is critical.


 This position will report to True North 400’s Executive Director. True North 400 operates through the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce which provides facilities; as such, employment for this position is provided through the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce but fully dedicated to True North 400. 


Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Understand True North 400’s vision and take the necessary steps to achieve that vision 

• Build relationships with True North 400 partners, specifically partners in transportation, public works, planning, etc.

• Assist with the management of all aspects and phases of True North 400 projects, programs, plans and studies (including partnerships, applications, budgets, scopes, schedules and deliverables.) 

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, presentations, and progress reports for stakeholders and the Board of Directors. 

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and local government partners to ensure smooth execution of projects and initiatives. 

• Serve as a point of contact for project-related inquiries from property owners, local businesses, and community partners. 

• Continuously help track projects in the programming life-cycle, maintain internal tracking documents and keep abreast of all impending deadlines. 

• Meeting scheduling and preparation including but not limited to stakeholder meetings, board meetings, luncheons, etc. 

Educational / Professional experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in urban planning, engineering, public administration or other related field 

• Experience in urban planning, program management, or engineering practice preferred 

• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, community development, urban planning, economic development, or related areas. 

Qualifications:
• Knowledge and expertise with the CID model and our partners in the Atlanta Region.

• Analytical / problem-solver
• Excellent communicator, professional demeanor
• Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, Power Point, etc.) 

Salary range: Please include salary requirements. Salary contingent upon expertise. Employment and benefits are offered through the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
