Full-Time & Part-Time Nurse Practitioner Positions Available – Johns Creek

Non-Profit and Social Services Medical Office

Full-time Nurse Practitioner with OB/GYN experience, 32 hours per week (will receive benefits and insurance, PTO and Generous Holiday Schedule).

Part-time Nurse Practitioner with OB/GYN experience, 24 hours per week working at both the Johns Creek clinic.

POSITION TITLE: Nurse Practitioner 

STATUS: Full-time OR Part-time 

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Provide all medical services approved by the Medical Director. 

WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH: Medical Team and nonmedical Patient Care Teams Hours: Per the hours below. Vacation days are based on the details listed in the Employee Policy Manual. Flexibility will be needed but the needs are communicated well in advance for the sake of planning.

Current Hours and Site Breakdown: (flexibility is required; changes are possible – via the approval of the CEO or Direct Report) • Monday: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Decatur • Tuesday: 11 am – 7 pm Johns Creek • Wednesday: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Decatur • Thursday: 11 am – 7 pm Decatur • Friday: 9:30 am – 5 pm Decatur Please note, it is a requirement of this role to arrive and leave according to the set hours. This role is a patient care role, so if a patient care case is intense and it’s not possible to close per the regular time, this role is required to stay and finish the patient case and administrative details, then leave the clinic. Also, we never allow patient care providers to be on site alone if a patient case is in process. So, you might have to stay until the case is finished to ensure no one is alone with a patient. This role will include full patient care training, offered through ABOH, due to the patient care components/interactions necessary. General Duties and Responsibilities: • Uphold ABOHs policies and procedures • Complete responsibilities within in a timely manner • Communicate calendar specifics for the master calendar • Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position, approved by the ED, according to the annual budget. • Communicate specifics related AAAHC as needed • Attend ABOH team building and staff meetings when applicable. 

MEDICAL TEAM DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide all medical services approved by the Medical Director • Assess patients and gather relevant information • Follow standing orders • Follow policies and procedures • Participate in medical team communications and provide the medical team with medical consultation when patient care/treatment is outside of their scope of practice/specialty pertaining to the services provided at the centers. • Communicate with the medical team • Participate in Medical Team Meetings • Maintain EMR for patients seen • Comply with state, professional licensing, HIPAA, and AAAHC requirements • Medically consult with community representatives when necessary • CPR certification and renewal according to American Heart Association protocol • Annual Peer Reviews • Follow the linear models for all services • Assist with maintaining AAAHC Accreditation • Assist with policy and procedure annual reviews and updates.

SUPERVISION/EVALUATION: This role works in-conjunction with all medical employees and is supervised by the Medical Services Director. COMPUTER OPERATIONS: • Utilize EMR for medical documentation, provide written orders for patients requiring prescription treatment. • Maintains email communications • Word processing, power point, excel needs.
