Founded in 1964, the company?s culture extends back to the late 1800s when Otto Orkin informally began what evolved into the world?s largest pest control company, Orkin Pest Control. Otto and his children operated the business until selling it to Rollins Inc. in September 1964. At that time, his fourth child, William, established Orkin & Associates. The real estate enterprise has grown from a raw land investment business to a prominent, multi-faceted company holding a well-diversified portfolio ranging from real estate to securities to equity funding in development projects. In addition, Orkin has established a family business consulting practice which offers high-quality guidance to leaders of family businesses. The company maintains its focus in real estate investments consisting of raw land, retail and office product.
