Restoration/Water Mitigation Technician

FireStar, the sister company of Parker Young Construction, Inc., is seeking a Water Mitigation Technician who can manage and complete water and fire mitigation services for damaged homes and businesses. We are looking for entry level or experienced water damage technicians. There is potential for advancement within the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assigned to a Restoration Supervisor Crew and assigned multiple jobs/losses that include water, mold, and fire demolitions.

Inspect, evaluate, and document water damaged properties.

Perform on-site production services: include water extraction and fire cleanup

Removed affected building materials when deemed non-salvageable.

Move equipment, haul trash, and deal with hazardous chemicals.

Work hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and you will be assigned to be on-call (after hours and weekends 2 times a month).

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3-4 years of experience.

IICRC/RIA Certification is strongly preferred.

Proficient at DEMO techniques.

Knowledge of standard drying equipment.

Ability to work long hours (nights and weekends)

and maintain a positive attitude.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds safely.

Must be able to receive directions and execute in a timely manner.

Must be able to perform overhead tasks, as well as tasks that include frequent bending and stooping.

Clean driving record is a plus. Must have a clean driving record in order to operate company vehicles.

Must reside within 20 miles of the metropolitan Atlanta area.

Must pass pre-employment and annual background check, physical test, drug test, and E-Verify.
